Hanna Stenersen is an attorney at Henschel Moberg, PA. Hanna began developing her passion for family law through an externship with Hennepin County’s Family Bench. Hanna is drawn to the field because she values hearing people’s stories and helping them navigate challenging times. She approaches her practice with empathy and patience. Hanna draws on a background in accounting and linguistics when tackling the complex financial and social issues often present in her cases.
Hanna earned her bachelor’s degree with honors from the University of Chicago before receiving her Juris Doctor from the University of Minnesota Law School. Following law school Hanna served as a law clerk to the Honorable Theresa Couri, Presiding Judge of Hennepin County’s Family Court. In that role, she clerked diverse family law and domestic abuse matters that resulted in multiple precedential appellate opinions. Hanna also assisted the Fourth Judicial District in implementing the new extreme risk protection order statute in 2024.
Outside of her practice, Hanna co-owns a small textile company and is active in her neighborhood. She enjoys spending time with her family in Scandinavia and speaks Norwegian and French.
